THIS HOUSE EATS PEOPLE
THIS HOUSE EATS PEOPLE is a short psx horror game where the player uses a Polaroid camera to take photos of an abandoned farmhouse. The game was created and submitted for the GMTK Game Jam 2024.
After a series of disappearances around an infamous farmhouse, the police take matters into their own hands. They send you to investigate the house and capture photos to aid in the investigation. But what you find there is... hard to explain.

Short, but very, very well done and super creepy. Loved the camera mechanics. Well done!
if you take a photo of the attic while on the stair you will no-clip through it and the game kind of glitches. other than that the game is nice, i love the style
A very good game, good story and graphics, congratulations to the creators of this very good game, I want the creators of this very good game to subscribe to my channel please, thank you, greetings from Spain!!

Same here!
not bad i guess. pretty spooky but kinda bugged: i jumped in the basement and got stuck (i didn't get the key).
this was good/10
Loved the game!
The controls were a little janky, but overall I enjoyed this game; the ending feels like a very adult R.L. Stine novel come to life; this house is ABSOLUTELY eating everyone. I really enjoyed the visuals up there, and the idea of taking scary photos while ominous things pop up.. Def interested in the upcoming game!~
doesnt work bruh :
short, simple, and straight to the point. love that in a perfect little horror story.
this was awesome!
I love the old school graphics and the atmosphere you managed to create with them, I'm not a huge fan of the walk speed however! lol.
Great scary game BEDTIMESTORIES! :O
Cute little game. great aesthetic. A little glitchy, I had my camera snap around 180 degrees pretty often. I actually happened at first on my first aproach to the house, so I thought it was an intended mechanic, where the house was on both sides of the path. Also, I took the picture of the attic looking upwards, so the last cutscene played out a little oddly. Overall, a lot of fun.
I am not well-suited for horror games but I always have to respect being able to create that experience
Pretty interesting concept and I love the camera mechanic (it isn't necessarily a new mechanic but it works super well every time). I will say though that a mouse sensitivity slider would have been great, cause I personally thought the sensitivity was insanely high. That detail aside, pretty spooky and unsettling so good job devs! Your game is the last one on my video and starts at 27:58
Well done! 9/10
nom nom went the house :
This was short but spooky! Got me good with the jumpscares! Great job!
Great game. Short but atmospheric.
It gave me this error, when trying to start:

Seems like it can be fixed by enabling this option in the project settings -> Player
THIS IS THE SAME GUY WHO MADE STAY AWAY FROM THE LIGHT HOUSE!? O:
Great experience. Nice atmosphere.
Short Horror Game but good. I am really looking forward to Carnival Massacre as it looks like Alisa. I had fun playing that game :)
I think I peed a little
great game. 8/10
This was nice! I like games where you have to take photos to progress. It did take me a little moment to figure out the attic haha. I got spooked too, and I liked the puzzles. Nice, very atmospheric too. Here is my playthrough.
Nice this was absolutely great game and I enjoyed it well done keep it up!
nice
The atmosphere is breathtaking from the first seconds. Looks like a pretty complex and professional project. Don't see how it relates to the theme of "built to scale"(maybe need to spend more time to find out), but it's definitely an awesome project.
