This game was amazing! The story really sucked me in from the very beginning. On top of that the builder was awesome and scary, as soon as I saw the screen shake from the footsteps I was instantly filled with fright.
Awesome game! the only problem is i wasnt able to hit q on the type writer but very good atmosphere and the mechanics of the scuba diver shaking the floor as he walked had me on edge
Not gunna lie, I love this game. I just wish it was longer! It is far to short for how cool this game is. Please MORE of this. Would love to know more about the story revolving this underwater city!
The game is so great! I wish it was a little longer tho ;D I struggled a lot with the builder not letting me read the notes or do puzzles! Big Boy was a stalker xD But overall an awesome game!
this was such a fun experince! Its a great lengeth and the builder is very scary! The design of the city is intresting and all the lore bits was great to read and kept me immersed the entire time! All in all, great game and everyone should give it a shot!
Good atmosphere, good puzzles, but not really scary. The monster never saw me, so I was surprised when I suddenly saw the ending (sitting on $2500 unused dollars) and I like to think that the monster is actually a savior.
The crossbow could work a little faster and I don't like these script events that don't allow you to read documents and use the shooting gallery before you reach a certain point. Other than that I enjoyed the game, the 30 minutes went by really fast.
This game is probably the best game I played in itch.io, you really nailed the bioshock consept and atmosphere especially the atmosphere (it really creeped me out ngl I got really nerveous everytime I heard a foot step) and the sound design was really good it puts you in the mood. Even though this game was really short (most of the games here are really short tho so not a big problem) I still give this game a 10/10 I LOVED IT. KEEP MAKING GAMES!! (btw you litreally just made me make an account on this site, just to appreciate you, I think that explain how much I loved this game)
I struggled a lot with the puzzles. Maybe that’s because I’m not a Bioshock player 😂 but still I enjoyed this game a lot, and I definitely underestimated the submarine man lol. Good job dev!
Hi there! I loved the art-style of this game. I've never played Bioshock, so I couldn't compare it to the inspiration. that being said, I think this was a really well done game. The underwater environment is a great idea for games, because you're stuck there with the monster with limited ways to escape (and it's also beautiful to look at) Thanks for sharing!
I have a gaming channel, and if you're interested... You can check out my gameplay for Sail-By Salute here!
I'm a huge fan of Bioshock, this was a fun game capturing the feel of rapture pretty well! I was a little overwhelmed with the puzzles sometimes, though(due to my own stupidity). Keep the good work up! :)
The game really does capture the Rapture feel and it was really enjoyable. I just kinda wish the ice crossbow slowed the monster down when it was chasing you. Beyond that, nice job.
The game greatly captures the Bioshock atmosphere with its psx visuals which only add charm to the game. The puzzles were fun to discover and the enemy wasn't too difficult to shake off and only added a bit of intensity to the game. A short and enjoyable game.
I don't know why you fall through the map, during the one year development of the game it never occurred with me, and I've never seen someone fall through in lets plays too. Can you give me a bit detailed description of this issue? (or is it just that you crouch you fall)
Phenomenal job! Great atmosphere, an excellent variant of the Bioshock atmosphere but it still felt a little unique too. I'd love to see a bigger version and learn more about what happened to the city; plus the crossbow + hammer combo was a great unique way of solving puzzles and encouraging exploration. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing anything else you make!
Hello friend, good game, I could not complete the message of the typewriter because my language is Spanish, it would be good if it had more languages, I want you to subscribe to my YouTube channel, my channel is very good, come and enjoy, congratulations, friend...
Thank you for playing! It would have been longer but felt like the part that I cut out was unnecessary, and in the end I'm glad it is out of the game! Hope you enjoyed it nonetheless!
This was soooo much fun! The puzzles, the graphics, the gameplay-- all spectacular. I've been a fan since Northprey Massacre and I must say, you are really improving as a developer. What a great tribute to Bioshock!
Thank you so much for your support! You narrated Northprey Massacre, if I remember correctly, was so much fun to watch back then! Glad you enjoyed it! ♥
That was incredible, you can really see the visual inspiration from Bioshock, but you really make the gameplay your own. There were so many unique puzzles in the game, I loved the light switch, completely unexpected. While just the capacity to break objects to find hidden areas was really fun. The fact that I found the hideout of the Toilet Paper Bandit was hilarious. I did find the creepiest moment just walking in on that standee, I was really thinking I was alone just for it to be right in front of me.
I really wish there was more, it really gives me the feeling of ‘Nightmare of Decay’, a game that shows its inspiration in a really well crafted game, that makes the design it’s own.
Not a problem, but I have to know, was it an issue I was confused with and its a my-bad, or was there a misconception in the game and I was infact registering it fine? Just wanna know if I was having a brain-fart or if I had a point lol
You got a point but until I see your playthrough, everybody entered the code just fine so idk. I'm just gonna add another line saying lowest number to the highest.
The whole idea of this being inspired by "Bioshock" just blew me away and that was the reason behind me playing the game. I have to say, the details in the game and storytelling is extraordinary, pure gold. The sound design and mechanics are massively amazing. You nailed the atmosphere and all the rest is just great, truly 5/5 stars.
Yet, there are some things I might say after the praise. Well, first of all, the game looks way too similar to "Bioshock" and that's not bad, only if you are trying to use it commercially, maybe. Even without the price, there are some obligations and I really don't wish this game to be taken down like "Silent Hill - Little Baroness", which was a fan game, inspired by "Silent Hill" the same way this game is inspired by a triple A production game. There are some policies, which developers can't escape due to plagiarism or copyright material. Now, I am not saying this game might have the same problem, but again, the resemblance is super obvious. Although, there are games, which still work outside of the "CC" zone, you know, like "Bloodborne Demake" game on itch.io.
I personally have not encountered any bugs. The game was smooth, simple, not overly complicated and exceptionally interesting. The minor complaint I have is purely subjective - the music choice. I think the OST for the game is brilliant, but it does not suit the "underwater" atmosphere and it is more "guitar" modern style rather than "classic" - as the game's story takes place during 1930s.
In Conclusion, I wish you all the best. I want this game to be played by as many as possible and I am in full support for this project. Good luck and keep making great content. Cheers 👍
Hey! Thanks for the nice words friend! I think I will be fine, I've seen some Bioshock fangames that survived, I don't think 2K or Irrational is on their way to hunt these games. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Truly great art and direction. Thanks for making it.
I agree with you, but not all games are as good as this one and neither did Konami hunt down "Silent Hill" clones, but developers still got hurt, so, I am saying this just in case. My one project got canned to for the same reasons - speaking from exeperience. All the best to you 👍🏻

Dang, This is like the finest of wines. I'm just sad it's a sample that left me wanting a bottle.

VERY UNIQUE GAME I LOVE IT!!!
Pretty cool game! It did remind me quite a bit of Bioshock, and I just wish the experience was a bit longer! had lots of fun though! Great job!

Sweet game, especially liked the puzzles and world building.
What a great game!

In itself a really nice game but the big daddy was too pushy when looking for the codes. but otherwise a very nice game, I'd love to see more of it :3

i think is cause i keep myself near the walls, or idk, it happens at random, kinda
or maybe i should download the other thing, like, the zip
Yup, that was the thing

A beautifully crafted tribute to Bioshock. The builder was a little too persistent for my tastes, but I enjoyed it. Definitely worth playing!Hello friend, good game, I could not complete the message of the typewriter because my language is Spanish, it would be good if it had more languages, I want you to subscribe to my YouTube channel, my channel is very good, come and enjoy, congratulations, friend...

I felt nostalgic playig this game. It's shame it's was so short but well made.

Impressive game. The creature, atmosphere, Bioshock's inspiration... really well done. Congrats!

Stunning horror game, I would love to see a second part.
Thanks for playing! ♥
Surprisingly ominous and visceral!

Absolutely loving your game but I can't figure out the combination to the safe
Me too!
There is a txt file in the game's folder containing the codes and combinations if you are stuck. Thanks for playing anyway!
