Solid demo showcasing what to expect, and I have to say that I have high expectations for this one. I absolutely adore classic-style survival horror games, and you have certainly managed to nail the gameplay. Inventory management, good camera angles, proper speed for the player and enemies, which keep combat from feeling tedious, and smart level design. I also like the design of the protagonist.
The only real problem is the enemies literally tracking you through walls. A funny example from me was listening to one of the jack-in-the-boxes ceaselessly trying to shoot me when I was underground, then later hearing during the end cutscene. But I'm sure it's an issue that will be resolved long before the full release.
I had a great time from start to finish, I loved it! Without a doubt the classic survival horror genre will never die because of great works like this, I certainly look forward to the final version. Excellent Game! 🎮 😃👍 Demo Complete Here 👇
I'm working on my video for this demo and I'm soooo bummed to find out that the music that plays throughout the entire demo gets copyright claimed. And it's in a way that will be very hard to edit out. Something like that will stop me from buying the full version because putting together a video can take hours and I don't like to let it just get claimed for music that I never chose to use. I understand that devs buy a license for music sometimes (I don't know if that's the case here) but that doesn't cover everyone else who makes a video for it. Very nice demo, probably my favorite in a while, but it has me thinking twice about wishlisting it now.
That's super weird because that song is a royalty-free song. I plan to make all the music myself for the full release (including the "copyrighted" one), but I just ran out of time for the demo. Frankly, I'm completely alone in this project.
I'll try disputing it and see what happens. Maybe it just claimed it because of some other music box audio that someone has in youtube's system. Which is stupid that they can even claim something like that since many music box songs will sound similar. This is what the claim said:
Music Box For Suspenseful Scenes - Vasya Sakal
Content owners: HAAWK for a 3rd Party
And hit the video so obnoxiously that I can't even use youtube's tools to edit the music.
To be fair, Youtube's Claim System is notoriously unfriendly to fair-use because pretty much anyone can claim anything for any reason and gain the benefits until someone does something about it which rarely happens because most people don't bother wanting to go through the hassle of fighting it.
Update on the copyright claim.. I disputed it yesterday and they already released the claim. So everyone should just dispute it if they get claimed for that music. It's probably some idiot who is auto-claiming a music box song, which shouldn't even be allowed since many music boxes will sound similar.
This was AWESOME!!! I added this to my wishlist and can't wait for the official release. Check out my playthrough if you want to have some laughs along the way.
Found a bug, If you use a heal item as you die, you do the dying animation while still being able to move and can't load save since you are technically still alive
Okay so this might be my favorite game I played so far this year and I'm glad I found it around Halloween. I was struggling with the controls but I still had a fun time playing it. I already like puzzle horror games but with a carnival added? 10/10 so far from me.
The release date on this one couldn't come soon enough after playing the demo! The cliff hanger has me itching to know how the rest of the game is going to play out. I think this one is going to be pretty good, fantastic work! 👍
This game definitely felt like the old Resident Evil/Silent Hill games of old I had a few issues with controls but for the most part I enjoyed my blind playthrough of the demo and can't wait for the full game.
This game as far as a demo goes- it gets above the scale. It has the retro feeling of awkwardness in distant places, the eerieness of Silent hill and combat of RE. I am not that much of a fan of PSX-style games, so my own experience is also quite small. The environment was simple and fantastic in it's camera's perspectives and particles for each scenario - the old confetti going through the air, the far-fog, the AUDIO. It's tremendous work, fun and enjoyful.
Game really does call back to the old RE1 /Silent Hill style of games. Nice job. I also invested into the game's story. I will say, add in hitstun. I noticed the lack of punch to the weapons when I shot them. It's most noticeable on the spider boss. Besides that, keep it up.
Very good demo, congratulations to all the creators of this game, I want all the creators of this game to subscribe to my channel please, thank you, greetings from Spain!!
The game is really cool, but I had a lot of difficulty with the combat system and I found it difficult to aim since she turns her body slowly and the monsters are very fast, I died a few times and ended up giving up. I would really like it to have subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese too. Good work friend!
I was so into the game that by the time the demo ended I was upset that I couldn't play more! It scratches that old survival horror itch from the PS1 era of games and I can't wait to play the rest of it! I really liked the setting, loved the enemy design, the variety of weapons, and the ambiance! Pretty great overall! Awesome job!
Man oh man this demo was AWESOME!! I love 3rd-person retro survival horror stuff and your take on the genre is very impressive. I even love the creepy carnival setting you chose. Great puzzles, nice inventory screen, different weapons to combat foes-- total package here. Thanks BEDTIMESTORIES for another great game! My No Commentary Playthrough:
